How To Save 100,000 Lives
Partnership for Prevention and WellPoint Foundation, in conjunction with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, hosted congressional briefings in the House and Senate.  A new report from Partnership for Prevention found that increasing use of 5 preventive services would save more than 100,000 lives each year in the United States.  Speakers discussed the report’s startling findings, the health disparities that exist in prevention, and the policy changes that could increase use of preventive care and reduce health disparities.

Partnering for a Healthier Workplace: The Healthy Workforce Act (S.1753)
Senator Harkin is joined by several worksite health promotion proponents including Dr. Ron Davis, President of the American Medical Association and Paul Speranza, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to introduce a bill that would provide tax incentives to employers to implement workplace wellness programs.
