 Clinical Preventive Services include disease screening, immunizations, and counseling by healthcare professionals. Partnership's goal is to increase the use of high-value clinical preventive services and to eliminate disparities. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force assesses scientific information and recommends clinical preventive services. For more information, go to http://www.preventiveservices.ahrq.gov.
Partnership resources in this area include:
- The Health Professionals Roundtable on Preventive Services, staffed by Partnership for Prevention, provides a venue for primary care organizations to collaborate in identifying clinical issues and strategies for increasing use of preventive services.
- Strengthening Adult Immunization: A Call to Action. Immunization experts and stakeholders agree on 6 effective, affordable and feasible actions the federal government should take to raise adult immunization rates. Read More ...
- Coverage for Clinical Preventive Services in Employer-Sponsored Health Plans. Partnership conducted a national survey to determine the extent that employers nationwide cover recommended clinical preventive services. Recommendations for Improving Your Prevention Investment: A report offering an overview of the results of a national survey on employer coverage for clinical preventive services, and comparing the results to key findings from Partnership's most recent rankings of recommended preventive services. The report also includes examples from organizations investing in preventive services for their employees and recommendations to employers for increasing the coverage and use of preventive services.
