Priorities for America's Health: Capitalizing on Life-Saving, Cost-Effective Preventive Services Partnership for Prevention has ranked the health impact and cost effectiveness of 25 preventive services recommended by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. The results appeared in the July 2006 issue of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. The study identified preventive services that: - Make the biggest impact on health and are most cost effective; and
- Would provide the most health improvement were the use of the services increased above current levels.
HealthPartners Research Foundation (HPRF) conducted the analytical work. The blue-ribbon National Commission on Prevention Priorities (NCPP) provided expert guidance. Dr. Eduardo Sanchez chairs the NCPP. Dr. David Satcher chaired the NCPP from 2003 to 2006. NEW!
