US Preventive Services Task Force Recommendation
The USPSTF recommends routine vision screening with Snellen acuity testing for elderly persons.

USPSTF Rating:
"B" Recommendation.

  • About 25% of older people wear inappropriate visual correction.1
  • Vision correction can reduce hip fractures from falls2 and improve quality of life.
